My experience with Ace Auto started in August of 2023 when I found one of their listings on AutoTrader. Unfortunately, that truck had already sold. I decided to go check out the lot anyway to see the condition of what inventory was available. All of the trucks were remarkably clean, low mileage for the generation, had the rockers/cab corners replaced, and paint matched. I started a few which ran VERY smooth. NO Chevy tick/exhaust leaks. I was very impressed when comparing Ace’s inventory to other local dealers I had looked at. Sadly, none of those trucks were available in my budget.
Several months went by, with several viewings of other trucks locally from FB Marketplace, and from other dealers. Upon inspection, those trucks simply could not compare and/or compete with Ace at the price they were listed for. Just for reference, more than one of them had fist sized holes in the frame.
In December I checked the Ace website again and noticed new inventory, this time in a price range I could work with. I walked away with a ‘03 Silverado that had 133k miles at a reasonable price.
I knew going into it, it would need some work, but being a Michigan truck it was obvious some things had never been replaced/serviced before. The suspension was due for replacement, it needed new tie-rods, ball joints, sway bar links, and shocks. There was an exhaust leak on the rearmost driver side cylinder (common for these trucks), the cluster LED screens were blank, parking brake shoes were worn out, and the passenger window regulator was bad. All relatively minor things, and Ace’s service guy provided a resource in some way for EVERY single thing that needed done.
Now with all the major things out of the way, and ironing out small kinks here and there as they arise, I’m very happy with the truck.
These are NOT “new” trucks. These are solid, used trucks that need some TLC, and they’re priced accordingly.
P.S. I needed new tires 8 months in, and Ace hooked me up with their “guy”. WOW. What a difference.

I have a disability and on Social Security Income, and I'm trying to finance a truck from Ace Auto Connection in the Future, I was wondering if I need a Co Signer or a Co Buyer to finance a Truck from Ace Auto Connection?

Purchased a 2003 Chevy from this used truck dealer in February. They had the best trucks without all the rust in the undercarriage, the panels, and the corners you find on ALL of the trucks of this type in the "Rust Belt." Looked around for months at several other trucks ONLY to return to this dealer three times before finally giving up on anyone else having anything comparable to this shop. The service has been absolutely wonderful. Of course, with the age of the vehicle, it had some minor repair work that was needed, and we have found the service manager to be very accommodating to help with anything that has popped up in the several months since taking delivery, even helping us make repairs. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for an "older" truck from that era. They simply have the best for the bucks.
